I’m not sure who decides these routes. Oh wait, I know. Again the morning started with an accent that seemed to keep going up, and there was no end in sight, heading up the trail from Sunset Lake toward Hurricane Pass, a little above 10,400 ft. We ran into several people on our way up, among the famous would be “walking with wild.” As we stood at the top and she took our picture, it was so grand to see the Teton mountain range in the background. As we headed down the other side, we stopped at the Schoolroom Glacier, which was quite impressive. As we got closer to the turnoff to Avalanche Divide, we decided not to take the extra miles that day and continue down the South Fork Cascade Canyon Trail to the site we would camp for the night. I was glad to stop for the night. Our site was sitting right on the edge of the South Fork Cascade Creek. From the camp, we had a beautiful view of a cascading waterfall.
